DAY 1: Port Elizabeth to Knysna
We set off from the airport or hotel, traveling through the indigenous Tsitsikamma Forest towards the romantic seaside resort of Knysna, in the heart of the famous Garden Route, with scenic stops along the way. Dinner at The Heads (for own account)

OVERNIGHT: Knysna
DAY 2: Knysna to Oudtshoorn
Option to take a cruise (at own cost) on the vast Knysna Lagoon and visit the Featherbed Nature Reserve. Enjoy an amazing view of the imposing sandstone ‘Heads’ which guard the sea entrance to Knysna’s huge tidal lagoon, and the forests, marshes and pristine beaches beyond. After lunch we enjoy the wonderful views of the spectacular Outeniqua Pass en route to Oudtshoorn, the ‘feather capital of the world’, so named, because it’s the centre of South Africa’s ostrich industry. We learn more about these hardy, enigmatic creatures during a tour of an ostrich farm.

DAY 3: Oudtshoorn to Struisbaai
Today after breakfast we head underground for a fascinating tour of the Cango Caves, one of South Africa’s most incredible natural wonders. Travel to Mossel Bay to the Diaz Museum and the Post Office Tree, to Cape Agulhas, the most Southern Point of Africa then to Struisbaai where we stop for the night.

DAY 4: Agulhas to Hermanus
Visit the Lighthouse at Cape Agulhas before travelling via Napier and Gansbaai to the beautiful town of Hermanus (Whale Capital), in Walker Bay. Option to enjoy a Whale Cruise (own account). Visit the Fernkloof Nature Reserve and enjoy a magnificent view of the bay.

DAY 5: Hermanus to Cape Town International Airport
A day of magnificent vistas. Enjoy the ever changing passing canvas as we travel to Cape Town, along the coast and around False Bay and into the Mother City of Cape Town.
